We had to move the hunt from January 16 to January 30. Everything else stays the same.
Moon Valley Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt
Saturday, January 30, 2027 · Early afternoon, about 3 to 4 hours
What's a neighborhood business scavenger hunt? Carloads of local families follow clues around Moon Valley to discover local businesses. At each stop they meet the business, try a quick activity and collect a stamp toward the prize drawing. While they're with you, you can show them around your space and give them a sample of what you do best.

Check Moon Valley First members only. Not a member? Join here first.
What Your Business Gets
- Brand name recognition: 40 to 60 carfuls of local families learn your name, find your business and remember you.
- A chance to show families around your place and show them what you do best.
- Your logo on the event marketing: flyers, the event page, clue cards, passports and Check Moon Valley First posts.
- Your coupon brings them back.
- Your logo on the event photo backdrop.
- Your name announced when your prize is drawn.
- Families earn a bonus raffle ticket for tagging you on Facebook.
If You Join, Here's What We Need From You
Before the event
- Check Moon Valley First members only. Not a member? Join here first.
- Your activity and coupon ideas by December 16, 2026.
- No refunds once you sign up.
- Paying by invoice? Pay within 24 hours of getting it, or the spot can go to the next member.
On event day
- A coupon families can use later.
- A fun way to meet your business, like a sample, a quick activity, a mini obstacle course or a trivia game.
- Someone to stamp passports.
- Room for extra traffic. The hunt runs in the early afternoon, for about 3 to 4 hours (final times to be announced). Arriving families will make your business busier that day, so make sure it won't interrupt your normal business. Usually busy then? This may not be the right fit, or set up your activity away from where your regular customers gather.

How the Hunt Works
- Each car gets a set of clues at Check-In.
- Families figure out where to go from the clues, and each clue leads to a business.
- At your business they do your activity, get a stamp and your coupon.
- Every stamp is a ticket for the prize drawing at the end.
We write a clue for your business from a few fun facts you send us. Families get to know you through your activity; no sales tables needed, though families are welcome to shop. Start and finish locations to be announced.
